The check-in time for the houseboats is usually between 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the check-out time is between 9:00 am to 9:30 am the next day. The houseboats operate for about 5 to 6 hours a day and are anchored at the shore of a backwater village by 5:30 pm. The houseboats do not cruise at night due to safety and legal reasons.
What is the food menu in the houseboats?
The houseboats provide all meals as part of the package, which includes lunch, tea/coffee with snacks, dinner, and breakfast. The food menu is based on traditional Kerala cuisine, which consists of rice, fish, chicken, vegetables, coconut, and spices. The food is prepared by the chef on board and is served in the dining area. Some houseboats also offer vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and continental options on request.
